Tuli Highlights

Koro River Camp

Day 1

• Recommended flight: Airlink JNB-PTG 09:35 – arrival 10:30

• Meet your driver upon arrival and transfer by road to the Platjan border (approx. 2 hours).

• At the border, transfer to a game viewing vehicle for a 90-minute drive to Koro River Camp.

• Arrive in the afternoon, just in time for your first safari experience.

Day 2

• Early morning game drive.

• Leisurely breakfast followed by relaxation at your tented suite by the Limpopo River.

• Lunch, then take a nap or enjoy a spa treatment (extra cost).

• Sundowner drink stop before returning to camp for dinner.

• Late afternoon/night game drive.

Day 3

• Early morning game drive.

• After breakfast, visit the local town of Mathathane to learn about human-wildlife conflict and the protective fence built in partnership with the Timbo Foundation.

• Meet the Kgosi (local chief) and learn about community projects supported through guest contributions.

• Return to camp for some rest before your late afternoon game drive.

Day 4

• Join a professional research team with a guide to explore the lives of leopards, brown hyenas, spotted hyenas, and other elusive species.

• Assist in reviewing camera trap footage, capturing secret wildlife moments as part of a vital conservation study.

• The Tuli area is famous for its leopard and brown hyena population.

• Return to camp in the late afternoon.

Day 5

• Early morning game drive.

• After breakfast, embark on a half-day excursion to visit the rock art of Mothlabaneng, a 500-year-old Bushman settlement with paintings and sacred sites.

• Extended game drive through the Moutlotse River area to visit a sandstone amphitheater and rock art galleries featuring elephants, giraffes, sable antelope, wild dogs, and aardvarks.

• The Timbo Foundation supports the local community by developing this site as a cultural heritage and tourism destination.

• Return to camp in the late afternoon.

Day 6

• Depart Koro River Camp after breakfast.

• Transfer via game viewing vehicle back to the Platjan border.

• Road transfer back to Polokwane Airport in time for your mid-morning flight.

Pricing & Inclusions

• Price: $3,450 per person, sharing (RACK rate)

• Includes: Meals, snacks, selected drinks, and activities.

• Transfers:

• Polokwane to Platjan border: $480 return ($240 per person)

• Platjan border to camp: $25 per vehicle per way ($25 per person return)

As we are aware that every traveler has its own personal preferences and budgets, we have put together a number of “Travel Suggestions”. These suggestions bring you to our Koro Camps in Tuli, Botswana and /or to Machangulo in Mozambique but along the routes to get there, we have made a number of selections of beautiful lodges and locations which are worthwhile staying. You can self drive, we can drive you, or you can even opt to use a private charter. Want to make the arrangements yourself? Or rather have that we make them? Everything is possible!
