Our ‘Koro Kids’ activities will bring out the ‘Little Ranger’ in your child. They will explore the area around the camp on our mini walking safaris, learning to track, searching for the hidden ‘little five’ and other gems, that our experienced guides will uncover. Our resident research team, will share their knowledge of the local wildlife and latest sightings, whether it’s leopard, brown hyena or other rarely seen species. The lab team will also share images from the fascinating ‘night cam’ , which often snaps a passing Aardvark or invite the children to take a peek through a microscope to study ……. What?? Other fun activities include making casts from lion, leopard or hyena tracks and ‘nature lessons’.
Finally each child will ‘graduate’ with a ‘Koro Kid Ranger ‘ badge and a graduation certificate.
If you have older children we will entertain them on our mountain bikes with a ride in the wild as well as let them sleep under the stars in our thrilling Starbed. Our Starbed is an elevated game viewing platform overlooking a waterhole! Here you will see the vast Tuli horizons with magnificent sunrises and sunsets. Children will learn about the galaxy and hear the animal calls at night. Being above this waterhole, you will have a sneak peek into the secret nocturnal habits of elephant, hyena, civet, leopard, and antelope as they satisfy their thirst below.
Parents can enjoy a private romantic dinner in our boma while the children toast marshmallows at the fire. We offer couples massages at our open air massage pavilion on the banks of the Limpopo river and these can be done while your children are out being entertained by our well trained staff.
